SHM Food Recommendations

It is to your best health and interest that you consume a whole food, plant based diet. Reducing the intake of animal based foods and increasing plant based foods will lower your risk of disease on so many levels. This does not mean you can never consume red meat or dairy products. It simply means that you are going to remove them for a specific amount of time from your daily food supply and then re-introduce them in low quantities and high qualities back into your diet.

The following is a general list of things to do to get started on your simple health:

  • Eat as many raw foods as possible
  • Eat fruits and vegetables separately
  • Eat organic oatmeal every day
  • Eat at least three avocados a week
  • Eat brown rice at least three times a week
  • Eat beans at least three times a week
  • Eat raw nuts daily in small quantities
  • Eat 100% organic whole wheat and grains
  • Eat organic raw honey sparingly
  • Juice twice a day
  • Fruit smoothie once a day
  • Vegetable smoothie twice a day
  • Use Stevia to sweeten foods and Sucanat for baking
  • Use olive oil for cooking (Cold Pressed Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
  • Use Almond milk, Soy milk or Rice milk
  • Replace Mayonnaise with Vegenaise
  • Drink purified water through out the day
  • Exercise for one hour a day preferably outside
  • Take acidophilus as needed (PB8 purchased at any health store)
  • Take kyolic greens twice a day in water
  • Take Juice Plus and Vineyard Blend (www.juiceplus.com)
  • Take organic flax seed (grind seeds)
  • Juice dandelion greens
  • Purchase organic products when at all possible
  • Eat your foods as close to natural as possible
  • Wash all produce with fruit and vegetable washes/Hydrogen Peroxide wash, etc.
  • Nothing out of a can, bottle, box or a bag unless it is natural
  • Nothing fried only sautéed
  • No dairy products except for plain organic yogurt and organic butter
  • No synthetic sweeteners like Aspartame, NutraSweet, Splenda, and Saccharine
  • No refined grains
  • No microwave
  • No grilling
  • No fast food
