Since my interview with Vanessa Rose on her program “Joy in Our Town” on KPAZ-TV 21 I’ve received a string of comments, feedback and questions. I am always grateful for those who contact me with their thoughts about my journey to reclaiming my health. The questions I receive are exactly the questions I asked when I was first getting started on my journey. They are simple questions like what should I eat? What shouldn’t I eat? What do you mean by raw foods? Do you make a menu for the week?

These questions may seem simple but they are fundamental and primary to mastering simple health. Those who ask these questions are manifesting the necessity to know. Wanting to know what one should eat or not eat requires the arduous process of thinking about your physical being. Behind these questions is the profound thought that human beings are designed to eat and that what they eat matters.

If you are asking these kinds of questions you are on your way to becoming a critical health thinker. Beware of letting these questions go unanswered. As you continue in your journey to health and wellness, reading, studying, pursuing knowledge and truth about caring for your body, mind, soul and spirit are ultimately your first line of defense against sickness and disease. Keep asking questions. Keep reading books that answer your questions. Keep contacting people like myself who are on the same journey, just ahead. Don’t underestimate the power of simple, basic questions.

Asking questions is the most natural thing you can do to advance your health and wellness. Asking them of people with the philosophy that health is the process by which you take care of your body, mind, soul and spirit will make all the difference in your journey to reclaiming your health and preventing disease.

The following are some of the questions I asked:

What is health?

Where does it come from?

Is health internal or external?

What should I eat?

What shouldn’t I eat?

Why did I get cancer?

What is cancer?

Is disease reversible?

How much protein should I consume?

If I consume a plant-based diet where will I get my protein?

What are carbohydrates?

How should I prepare my foods?

Should I abstain from animal-based foods?

How do I balance my hormones?

How much should I exercise?

What are whole food supplements?

What whole food supplement should I take?

Are vitamins safe to consume?

Should I cleanse my body?

How do I cleanse my body?

How long will it take before I see results?

Should I fast?

Should I take a probiotic?

Should I juice?

What should I juice?

How do I sweeten my food?

Should I consume any fat?

What are antioxidants?

Where do I get antioxidants?

Where do I get trace minerals?

What kind of water should I drink?

How many hours should I sleep?

Should I have chelation treatment?

How do I reduce stress?

Is there any harm if I drink coffee?

What kinds of vegetables should I eat?

What kinds of fruits should I eat?

How much raw food should I eat?

How much cooked food should I eat?

In my journey to reclaiming my health I asked countless of questions and researched the answers to each of them. Today I answer them in the Simple Health classes I teach in my local community. I am teaching an introduction to Simple Health during my lecture on Breast Health and Cancer Prevention on June 30th, 2012 at 2:00.

I want to encourage you to keep asking questions, keep researching, keep investigating, keep examining and keep pursuing the answers and then master them!
